Conversion

Dr. Sam Waldron was born in 1951 in Alma, MI. He grew up with godly Christian parents. Like many children raised in Christian homes, Sam does not know the exact time of his conversion, but knows he was converted sometime between the age of 3 and 18.

Family

Sam has been married to Charlene for since 1975. The Lord blessed them with 5 children and, at last count, 15 grandchildren — all of whom they love very much.

Education

Dr. Waldron received a B.A. from Cornerstone University, an M.Div. from Trinity Ministerial Academy, a Th.M. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ministry

Sam was a pastor of the Reformed Baptist Church of Grand Rapids from 1977-2001 and taught at Trinity Ministerial Academy from 1981 to 1989. Leaving there in 2001, he pursued a PhD at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. Having served as a pastor of Heritage Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky from 2005-2013, he became, in 2013, one of the pastors of Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Owensboro, Kentucky. Sam is also the President, Academic Dean, and Professor of Systematic Theology of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.

Research Interests and Hobbies

Sam is the author of over 15 solo books and a contributor to many others. Sam’s particular areas of research interest include The Second London Baptist Confession, Eschatology, and Systematic Theology. Sam enjoys spending time with his wife, walking, and weightlifting.
