Prophecy & Tongues Today?

Are NT prophecy and tongues for today? In the two-lectures below, Dr. Gonzales attempts to answer that question. He seeks to provide exegetical evidence to view Christ as the redemptive-historical goal and Scripture as the modal goal of all special revelation. Once the apostolic witness to Christ is brought to completion in the NT canon, the need for oral prophecy and tongues along with the apostolate has ceased. Dr. Gonzales also offer a critique of Wayne Grudem’s defense of modern prophecy and tongues. These lectures serve as part of the curriculum of his course on the Doctrine of Scripture.
