2011 Fall Module - Old Testament Introduction

Dr. Bob Gonzales will give 22 hours of lectures on the subject of Old Testament Introduction. In these lectures, Dr. Gonzales will cover issues related to the canon and text of the Old Testament. He will also deal with genre, background, authorship, date, recipients, and contents of Old Testament books. These lectures will serve as partial credit for Midwest Center for Theological Studies' course BI 11 OT Introduction I. For Reformed Baptist Seminary students, these lectures will serve as partial credit for ET 511 OT Introduction.

The lectures will be offered to auditors and Reformed Baptist Seminary students via "live-streaming" over the Internet. The cost to have Internet access to the class is only $20 per person. The lectures will be held "Central Standard Time" as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 27th, 5:45pm-10:00pm
  • Thursday, September 29th, 5:45pm-10:00pm
  • Saturday, October 1st, 9:00am-11:30am

  • Thursday, October 20th, 5:45pm-10:00pm
  • Saturday, October 22nd, 9:00am-11:45am

For more information about joining us for the lectures, contact John Divito, the registrar for MCTS (registrar@mctsowensboro.org). RBS Students should register as "auditors" so they don't have to pay the MCTS enrollment and tuition fees in addition to the enrollment and tuition they've paid for RBS. If you have more questions about the module or the course on OT Introduction, you can contact Dr. Gonzales (dean@rbseminary.org).
